Mr. Christo Els is a seasoned legal professional with extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, equity capital markets, and securities regulation law. He holds an LLM degree (with distinction) from the University of South Africa, as well as BLC and LLB degrees (both with distinction) from the University of Pretoria.

Christo served as Senior Partner at Webber Wentzel, one of South Africa’s leading law firms, from 2015 to 2025. Over the course of his career, he has advised on numerous high-profile, transformational, and cross-border transactions across Sub-Saharan Africa.

His expertise in Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets has been consistently recognised by leading international legal directories, including Chambers Global, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Who’s Who Legal, and Best Lawyers. Notably, he was named Dealmaker of the Year by Dealmakers Magazine (2010) and Lawyer of the Year – Capital Markets by Best Lawyers (2016).
