In another environmental project, First Capital Bank launched this initiative to help curb the effects of climate change and deforestation, which is a challenge throughout the country. The Bank partners with government institutions, utility companies and learning institutions to initiate and implement tree planting programmes across Malawi.

In 2017 the Bank partnered with the Malawi Defence Force to plant 6 000 trees at the Cobbe Barracks in Zomba. In addition we worked with the Blantyre City Council and pupils from the Nyambadwe Primary School to plant trees on Nyambadwe Hill in Blantyre
